Pastoral Care
We are a community of faith that believes in the power of the Holy Spirit to work in, through, and with us. We believe that through our baptism the Spirit graces us with gifts and talents to minister to one another and to all of God’s people. We are all ministers of God’s transforming love.
The mission of the Pastoral Care Team is to provide nurturing of body, mind, and spirit, and provide health and welfare to St. Anne’s people and the surrounding community. Our Pastoral Care Ministers share God’s love by
- Taking communion and/or making monthly visits to those who are home bound
- Praying faithfully for those in need with the help of our Prayer Chain Ministry
- Making bereavement crosses for those who have lost a loved one
- Sending cheerful cards of encouragement to those who are sick or recovering through our Sunshine Card Ministry
- Delivering the altar flowers from Sunday services to the sick and home bound
The Pastoral Care Team is a faithful, caring, steadfast ministry among us. If you would like to be part of this wonderful ministry, please contact the Church Office at 610-398-3321.
If you would like to make a prayer request, contact the Church Office.
About Prayer
To try to pray is to pray. You can’t fail at it. God waits to hear you. Reaching out in prayer is holding on to God. Prayer is so powerful; it calms us, heals us, gives us strength to face the unknown. But most of all it brings together to face what we need to face alone. God is always with us. We weren’t all born to sing, but we were all made to pray. Don’t let your fears strangle you, let them go and trust God. Prayer immediately turns us into something greater than ourselves. Remember Jesus said “ I have called you by name… You are mine… You are precious in my eyes. I love you.”
Your prayers are a grace filled support to everyone for whom we pray. God wants to hear you—“bang on the gates of heaven and beg your heart’s desire”. God always listens and answers with what is best for His children.
