Tell Out My Soul – 2025 Stewardship Campaign
Our Stewardship campaign is a chance for us to reflect on the many ways that we are connected to each other. Our theme this year focuses on the stories we tell and the ways we are called to share our words, our actions, our love, and our joy with the world.
Luke’s Gospel is bookended by the animated story telling of two women named Mary. Early in the Gospel, Mary the mother of Jesus, tells us of the encounter with the Divine who informs her that she will bear a child who will change the world. She proclaims her joy: “Tell out my soul! The Greatness of the Lord!” At the end of the Gospel, another Mary, Mary Magdalene, visits the tomb to discover it empty and receives instructions from the Risen Christ to go tell the others. She carries the Good News with Jubilance to the disciples.
Tell out my soul focuses on our story telling, our joy, and the excitement we feel when we allow Jesus’ call to serve our neighbors and worship God. Our stories bring us together. Each of us has a story. Love is the root of abundance-it is a gift born from love, made with love, to further love. Sharing time, talent and treasures are joyful. When love is your goal, your gifts will follow. You can also share your love when you agree to take on a leadership position such serving as a member of Vestry, serving on one of our parish teams – Pastoral Care, Outreach, Fund Raising, Fellowship, Stewardship, Hospitality, Buildings & Grounds – or join in one of our parish groups – Tuesday Bible Study, monthly Book club, Sisters in Faith group and the Fellowship Team.
Our campaign will begin on Sunday, September 28th (there will be one service at 9:30 a.m.). Our program will continue at regular service times on October 5th & 12th. Ann Hamlin will give her stewardship witness on October 12th. October 19th will be our Celebration Sunday ingathering (one service at 9:30 a.m. followed by a light breakfast). We bring our stewardship pledges to the altar on that day.
You will receive your pledge card in the mail by mid-October to prayerfully fill out and bring to church or mail in before the end of the month.
Tell out my soul! The greatness of the Lord.
Faithfully,
Connie Archer, Stewardship Campaign Chair
