Our Advent Giving Tree this year will provide us an opportunity to once again gift the residents at Mosser Nursing Home.

The tree is up in the parish hall and decorated with an ornament for each resident.  Their name and room number are printed on the front.  On the back is a suggested item they would like.  If you would like to participate, just take an ornament.  Please be sure to attach the ornament to your purchased gift-wrapped package and place it under the tree.  Packages must be delivered to church no later than Dec. 16th.

In addition to this year’s Advent Tree in the Parish Hall, the Outreach Team is inviting everyone in the congregation to come caroling at Mosser Nursing Home after the Elf and Cookies fellowship event next Sunday Dec. 9th.  With all of us gathered together to worship at 9:30 that day, this is the perfect opportunity to share our spiritual family and blessings with those less fortunate just down the road.

Mosser Nursing Home is located at 1175 Mosser Road, Trexlertown and we are planning to get there by 11:30. We will sing 4-5 songs in each of the two dining rooms. The songs will be familiar to those young and old, but lyrics will also be provided!

If you haven’t responded to the email, please sign up in the parish hall and indicate if you will need a ride to participate.

Hope to see you all there!

One of St. Anne’s annual outreach ministries is to assist Everlasting Life Ministries, in downtown Allentown, to provide their Christmas Dinner.  This year the dinner will be held on December 15th, with seatings at 12:00 and 3:00.  With changes in Health Department policy, we can no longer provide cooked turkeys.   If you have the ability to provide a frozen turkey, baked goods, canned goods, fresh fruit, financial support and/or would like to serve at either of the seatings, please contact Bill Keane (610-395-5427 home; 610-428-8245 cell).   Bill is planning on delivering turkeys canned goods and fruit on December 11th.    A signup sheet is available in the Parish Hall.

The Outreach team, with your help, would like to give each resident of Mosser Nursing Home a Christmas card on each Sunday in Advent.  The red basket in the parish hall holds enough cards for Advent 1.  If you care to take one or two, sign it and maybe add a message, place in unsealed envelope and return next Sunday.  The Outreach team will assign a room number and deliver.  Donations of cards would be appreciated for Advent 2, 3, and 4.  Thank you for sharing your love this Christmas!

 May the Spirit of Christmas

fill you with joy!
